The four caravans and campervans in Blackburn Drive car park beside Ayr India were causing alarm among residents.
One of the travellers told the Advertiser last week they were definitely allowed to set up camp in the popular tourist car park but South Ayrshire Council has been trying to get them to move out.
They have now moved to Seafield Drive where bollards were put up to stop camps but they have managed to manoeuvre their way around the blockades.
