The continued use of fields as a temporary Travellers site is set to be rejected by Preston city council.
Planning officers have outlined their objections to land just south of the M55 near Bartle being used as a caravan park.
Situated near Rosemary Lane the refusal by the owners Mr J & S Lee to install a proper system for dealing with waste from the caravans means the city council’s planning committee are recommended to reject the application.
They had applied for the Rosemary Lane site to be given another two years while the consultation on finding permanent Traveller sites across Preston, Chorley and South Ribble continues.
