Edenbridge residents: Sevenoaks should take Gypsy sites - Kent

PLANNERS say they are trying to end a north-south divide in the distribution of Traveller sites.

The officers, who are currently consulting on plans to create an extra 72 caravan pitches on top of the 89 already in the district, say the biggest feedback they’ve had surrounds the unbalanced spread of locations.

Members of the public have asked the planners why there are proposals for locations in Shoreham, Halstead, West Kingsdown, Swanley and Hextable in the north of the district but few near Sevenoaks itself or in the south.
