Permanent travellers site given final go ahead - Sussex

The final clearance for a permanent Travellers site on the South Downs has been granted.

The Department for Communities and Local Government have confirmed that they will not be calling in a planning application for 12 permanent residential traveller pitches at Horsdean, Brighton.

The South Downs National Park Authority’s Planning Committee resolved to grant permission on 13 February and today the Secretary of State confirmed the site will be given the go-ahead following his scrutiny.
