Travellers ordered off illegal Forfar camp - Angus

An Angus sheriff has ordered Travellers who have an illegal encampment in Forfar to leave the site.

The group of Travellers, who have around 30 caravans and other vehicles, have been in Forfar since the beginning of May.

They first set up camp on Montrose Road, on ground owned by the Strang’s Mortification Trust.

After a legal notice was served for them to evict that location on May 15, they moved to the opposite side of town in a night-time flit to a site at Orchardbank.
