Travellers base themselves in Waltham lay-by on way to famous Appleby Horse Fair - Lincolnshire

TRAVELLERS have set up camp in a lay-by in Waltham on their way to the world-famous Appleby Horse Fair.

Seven caravans and about ten vans arrived in the lay-by off Louth Road, at the rear of Tollbar Academy, over the weekend.

One parent, who uses the lay-by to drop off their child at school but did not wish to be named, said: "I hope they move on soon. I think it's intimidating for the kids having to walk past them."
