The Gypsy and Traveller families who live at Green Meadows Chalet Park on Towers Lane, Alvanley , are appealing against an enforcement notice issued by Cheshire West and Chester Council for them to vacate the site by December, arguing they haven’t been given enough time.
After their planning application for the permanent occupation of the site - where they have lived since 2007 - was refused, the families were issued with an enforcement notice to cease the residential use of the site by December 1 and to clear it completely by December 22, in sync with the permanent sites for Gypsies and Travellers in Winsford and Ellesmere Port becoming available in November.
