Gunnersbury Park Travellers given 24 hours to leave or face court action - London

Travellers in Gunnersbury Park were this morning given a legal notice to leave within 24 hours or face court action.

Hounslow Council issued the directive at 8am this morning to the occupants of about a dozen caravans, which have been camped in the park since Sunday (June 8) evening.

The order gives the Travellers 24 hours in which to leave the park, on the border of Hounslow and Ealing boroughs, and take their vehicles and property with them.
