Work to prepare a temporary site so it can be used by Gypsies and Travellers in Dorset is being completed in the coming week.
Dorset County Council’s planning committee gave permission for the temporary transit site at its meeting on 9th May 2014 and the council received the formal notice of the decision on 5th June.,
The site, between Puddletown and Piddlehinton, will provide 25 caravan pitches for six months a year, March to August inclusive, ending when the temporary site provided in North Dorset in connection with the Great Dorset Steam Fair opens.
