Planning application submitted for temporary Travellers' site in Poole - Dorset

From the Blackmore Vale Magazine

A planning application has been submitted for one of two sites earmarked for a temporary stopping place for Travellers in Poole.

The Borough of Poole’s Environmental and Consumer Protection Services (ECPS) has put forward the plans for land at Marshes End, opposite the new Poole Fire Station in Creekmoor.

The site would initially provide 12 pitches for travelling families and vehicles. Information boards will be displayed at Creekmoor Library on Thursday 13 February and Friday 14 February between 10am and 4:30pm and on Saturday 15 February from 10am to 1pm.

A second application for a temporary Travellers site on land north of the B&Q car park in Oakdale is also being prepared and will be submitted as soon as possible.
