AROUND 30 caravans have moved into Merstham's Battlebridge Lane.
The group were spotted arriving by residents in Fairhaven Road on Saturday night and by Sunday morning the camp was established in the car park and nearby filed.
Concerned residents called the police when they saw what appeared to be the group attempting to cut away the height restriction bars on the Battlebridge Road car park.
Three units attended the scene but nothing was done.
Reigate and Banstead Borough councillors will now attempt to obtain an eviction order in court today.
