From the West Sussex Gazette

Police have served notices on a group of Travellers who pitched up on the Tesco carpark at Three Bridges overnight (February 6-7).

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “A number of Travellers and vehicles have arrived at the Tesco car park in Crawley and the owners with bailiffs have been making arrangements this morning, Friday February 7, to evict them,

“Police have also served notices on the Travellers under Section 61 of the Public Order Act, authorised by a senior police officer, requiring the Travellers to leave, but the matter is currently in the hands of the site owners and bailiffs.

“We understand the Travellers are currently in the process of leaving.”
