Meeting on Kettering Travellers’ sites to be held tonight - Northamptonshire

From the Northamptonshire Telegraph

A meeting to identify potential sites for more than 20 Travellers’ pitches in the Kettering area is due to take place at Kettering Council tonight (Wednesday, February 19).

The authority needs to identify 22 pitches in the borough to meet anticipated demand for the next 17 years.

Tonight’s meeting aims to identify a number of suitable sites and detailed others, such as Beatrice Road in Kettering and Wellingborough Road in Broughton, which had been crossed off the list since the public consultation last year.

Sites still up for discussion at the meeting include the former Scott Road garages in Kettering, where seven pitches could be placed, Highcroft Farm in Broughton, which is large enough for eight to 10 pitches, Crown Street in Kettering, where one pitch could be placed, and land near Junction 4 of the A14 at Rothwell, where up to 15 pitches could be fitted in.
