From the Burnley Express
Travellers have set up camp on Burnley pub car park.
Three caravans and a number of vehicles parked on land at the side of the General Havelock pub in Accrington Road.
The encampment at the Accrington Road pub sprang up over the weekend.
A spokesman for Burnley Council said officials had visited the site which is privately owned.
He said: “It is private land owned by a brewery which owns the pub nearby.
“Council officers visited the site to speak to the Travellers who said they intend to leave on Friday.”
The spokesman added that bin bags were provided and Streetscene will monitor the state of the site.
