From the Derby Telegraph
A PLANNING application is to be made for a permanent Travellers site at Homesford, between Cromford and Whatstandwell.
Derbyshire Dales District Council councillors could also give the go-ahead this week for negotiations to take place with the landowners to agree a price for the site, which is a former wood yard.
This is with the proviso it would not exceed an independent valuation commissioned by the council.
A meeting of the council's corporate committee, on Thursday, will hear that further public consultation will take place before planning permission can be considered.
