Campaigners go to high court over Travellers' site decision - Yorkshire

From ITV

Residents opposed to a controversial site for a travelling show community near Doncaster have asked for a High Court review of the decision to give it the go-ahead. Permission was granted by Doncaster Council for the site at Mosscroft Lance Quarry near Hatfield in July.

But since then campaigners have contacted Secretary of State Eric Pickles in an effort to halt the development. The site would be home to eighteen pitches. But residents claim an increase in traffic and noise would be unacceptable as well as a lack of local facilities.
