Travellers want to move to Flackwell Heath - Kent

From the Maidenhead Advertiser

The site of a former plant nursery could soon become a home for two Traveller families.

In plans submitted to Wycombe District Council, the group, which includes five adults and three children, wants to change the use of the land to a permanent traveller site in Heath End Road, Flackwell Heath.

The families currently live on an unauthorised site in New Road, Walters Ash.

Chairman of works, services and planning at Chepping Wycombe Parish Council, Jeff Herschel, has labelled the plans as 'absurd'.

"The idea of putting touring caravans on that location right on the edge of greenbelt land is unacceptable," he said.

A decision is expected on Tuesday, September 18.
