Funeral held for scrap metal dealer in Worcestershire

From the BBC

Hundreds of people from Gypsy and Traveller communities have taken part in a funeral procession through Worcester.

The funeral for 84-year-old William Smith, a well-known scrap metal dealer, was held at St Philip and St James Church in Hallow.

The cortege included a horse-drawn hearse, six limousines and flatbed lorries, lined with floral tributes.

Mr Smith started a scrap metal business in Sheriff Street in the 1960s.

The cortege gathered in Wylds Lane and made its way through the city to Hallow, with some side roads closed off as it passed by.
