A GROUP of Travellers are facing eviction after setting up an unauthorised camp in a Leeds park.
A small number of caravans and a van parked up on Soldier’s Field, in Roundhay Park, and are believed to have been there for several days.
A Leeds City Council spokesman said that the council are due to attend County Court in a bid to receive a notice for possession of the land and immediate eviction today at 2pm. (August 15)
He said that the small group of Travellers are not Leeds dwellers and are simply passing through the city – it is believed they are originally from Scotland.
