From the Medway Messenger
Gillingham players might have to share their training ground with a group of Travellers.
Several caravans and vehicles turned up at the Beechings Cross training ground in Gillingham, yesterday.
It is believed the group pitched up after they left Victoria Gardens in Chatham.
Gills players are due to train at the ground, which is owned by Medway Council, tomorrow and Sunday, in preparation for their first game of the season on Tuesday night against Bristol City.
A Medway Council spokesman confirmed they had received a report of an unauthorised Travellers camp on the ground and were sending someone out to check on this.
