Gypsy Redding Man Utd and Corrie stars hit by Traveller camp

From the Sun

STARS of Corrie and Manchester United face having a Gypsy camp near their luxury homes.

Reds residents including Nemanja Vidic and Nani have been urged to protest against the proposals in posh Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Locals — who also include Coronation Street actors Bill Roache and Simon Gregson — fear it could turn the exclusive neighbourhood into another Dale Farm, the Essex site that snowballed into the country’s biggest Traveller camp.

The application to use the 0.5-hectare site for “the stationing of caravans for Gypsy pitches”, along with hard standing and utility rooms, has been lodged by a man dubbed the “Gypsy king”.

Ex-Lib Dem MP Matthew Green has led 250 planning disputes involving Travellers through his Green Planning Solutions firm.
