PLANNING enforcement action is set to be taken over land earmarked for a permanent Gypsy site.
An open-ended court injunction is already in place to stop further development on the land at Biddulph Road, Fegg Hayes.
Restrictions include a ban on bringing hardcore and caravans onto the site.
It comes as barriers remain in place along the boundary of the fields to try to stop vehicles arriving on the land.
A city council spokesman said: "A planning enforcement injunction restrains individuals from breaching planning controls.
"Contravention is contempt of court and can lead to an unlimited fine or a prison sentence.
"The land is being regularly monitored, and further enforcement action in line with planning legislation will take place in the near future to restore the site."
