From the Grimsby Telegraph
Travellers have set up a camp on land on Louth’s Fairfield Industrial estate.
About 10 caravans parked up on a field off Bolingbroke Road.
Some of the caravans have horse trailers and a number of ponies have been grazing on the field.
Travellers normally use a field at the rear of the industrial estate, close to the former railway line.
The Travellers have been on the site, which is privately owned, for almost a week.
It had been earmarked by developers as a potential site for a drive-through restaurant, petrol station and motel but the proposal was withdrawn.
A spokesman for East Lindsey District Council said officials were liaising with the landowner.
They said: “East Lindsey District Council became aware that a number of caravans and other vehicles were parked on the site on Louth Industrial Estate.
“The land isn’t in the district council’s ownership and we have informed the landowner.”
