‘Travellers problem may never be solved’ - Scotland

From the Press and Journal

THE issue of Travellers setting up illicit camps in the north-east may never be solved, it was claimed last night.

A politician has spoken out after a BB gun incident in which hockey players were abused by travelling people then shot at in Aberdeen.

Allan Hendry said he fears no end is in sight for setting up official sites for Travellers as it emerged a by-law to stop people pitching up on public ground was allowed to lapse.
