From the Bucks Free Press
A DATE has been officially confirmed for the appeal inquiry into a proposed Gypsy site in Flackwell Heath.
On May 21, the Secretary of State’s Inspectorate will hear evidence on both sides concerning the application for a change to the use of land on Heath Road for Gypsy and traveller use.
Gerard O’Connor made an initial application last year, which was thrown out by Wycombe District Council’s planning committee.
But Mr O’Connor appealed over the decision to reject plans for the stationing of two mobile homes, two touring caravans and the erection of a utility/day room at the site of an old plant nursery.
The Flackwell Heath Residents Against Inappropriate Development (RAID) group was set up in response to the initial application.
RAID has been urging residents over the last month to add any new comments to the appeal, which will carry forward the original objections over the plans.
The inquiry will take place at the Council Offices in Wycombe at 10am on May 21.
