Travellers’ appeal to residents over rubbish row - Aberdeenshire

From the Evening Express

TRAVELLERS today appealed to North-east residents not to “tar our community with the same brush”.

One man blasted the behaviour of other Travellers after a site where they had been living in Westhill was piled high with rubbish.

The site owned was left with mounds of guttering, bricks, cement, paint tins, gas cannisters and wood, as well as food waste.

Speaking to the Evening Express, the builder and painter said: “I know the community are angry about this, but we are furious too.”
