Travellers interviewed about leaving Five Oaks Farm - Berkshire

From the Maidenhead Advertiser

Travellers who left Five Oaks Farm in Shurlock Road, Waltham St Lawrence, about a month ago are the subject of a video produced by the Gypsy Council.

Two caravans left the site, which has been established for about four years, in early December after the Royal Borough took action to limit the number of caravans on the land to 10 in November.

In the video, Gypsy Council chairman Joseph Jones interviews an unnamed man behind the camera on a patch of land at Shoppenhangers Road.

He tells Mr Jones he and his wife had 'no choice' but to move and said he wants to return to Five Oaks Farm, where his children and grandchildren are based.

Since it was filmed, the caravans have moved on to common land at Downfield Road and then to the car park of Neville Hall, in Milley Road.

They left the site of the community hall on Boxing Day.
