Meeting called following Gypsy site planning application - Buckinghamshire

From the Bucks Free Press

AN EXTRAORDINARY meeting has been set up following concerns raised over a proposed Travellers site in Cadmore End.

Lane End Parish Council has called the meeting on Monday, January 20 at 7.30pm at Cadmore End village hall regarding the planning application for High Barns in Marlow Road.

The application proposes a change of use of land to a Gypsy caravan site comprising of five transit pitches and four permanent residential pitches, a shower block, stables building and parking.

The Celeb Action Group has called on residents to put forward their objections to Wycombe District Council.

The group are against the application as the site is in Green Belt land and AONB and say there is no proven need to either permanent or transit accommodation.

They also say the noise levels on the site are thought to exceed EU limits for inhabitation and there are reports of deeply buried hazardous waste leading to contaminated soil.

They also raised concerns about the exit onto a busy road.

Go to www.wycombe.gov.uk and enter 13/08106/FUL to view the planning application.
