The Showmans Guild are considering setting up residency in an area of the Heaton Mersey Industrial Estate. A drop-in consultation is being held today between 4pm and 7pm at the Scout Hut on Didsbury Road for anyone who wants to find out more.
The Showmans Guild represent the fairground travelling community (as I understand it). A local councillor has explained that they are looking to set up a base to store equipment, and some residential bungalows for use during the quieter months.
If you would like to find out more about this proposal, you are invited to drop in to the Scout Hut on Didsbury Road between 4pm and 7pm. Local councillors may also be there to help answer questions.
