Travellers' vans towed off illegal site at Dordon after being stuck in mud - Coventry

TRAVELLERS’ families were given help from a local council to move off on an illegal site.

Five caravans and one mobile home had become stuck in heavy mud caused by recent rain storms on a recreation ground in Dordon.

Officers from North Warwickshire Borough Council obtained legal notices, ordering the Travellers to leave – and then offered assistance to tow the vehicles back onto the public highway.

Assistant chief executive Steve Maxey said: “Thanks to our Streetscape team, we were able to get the vans off the land and help them on their way.”
