Legal action against Travellers in Aberdeen

From the Evening Express

COUNCIL chiefs were today taking legal action against three Traveller encampments in Aberdeen.

The move came after groups of caravans set up camp at playing fields at Hazlehead Park, a cricket pitch at Aberdeen Beach and an area on Riverside Drive in Dyce.

Today, 12 caravans were spotted at an encampment at Hazlehead next to a log store on Hazledene Road.

Their arrival comes just days before thousands of visitors attend the city’s Highland Games, which takes place at Hazlehead Park on Sunday.
