From the Bournemouth Echo
TRAVELLERS have moved on from a Bournemouth field, leaving behind piles of rubbish, rubble and garden waste for the council to clear up.
The group of around 15 caravans had been parked up at the field in Duck Lane, West Howe for nearly two weeks, with residents reporting damage to the land by quad bikes and motorbikes tearing up the grass.
Alongside ripped bin bags, piles of tarmac, broken branches and litter thrown into the hedgerows, track marks were left all over the field by the group, who are believed to have moved on Sunday.
Council staff are understood to be visiting the land today to begin the clear-up.
