Traveller camps prompt security review - Somerset

SECURITY at public open spaces and playing fields across North Somerset is to be reviewed following a string of illegal Traveller encampments.

Council chiefs are to investigate what measures can be put in place to prevent groups of Travellers moving onto land owned by the authority across the district.

The move comes after Travellers set up illegal camps at two sites in Clevedon over the past month.
