Travellers set up camp in Parklea community stadium’s car park - Inverclyde

Three camper vans arrived at the new Parklea community stadium car park on Friday evening, and local people said travellers have been using the nearby trees as a public toilet, leaving human waste and toilet paper there.

Port Councillor David Wilson, pictured, said urgent action must be taken by Inverclyde Council, who own the land.

He said: “Council officers must have the Travellers removed quickly — we cannot have a mess in our prime leisure site.
