A GROUP of Travellers who set up camp at Three Mile Cross could be given their marching orders this week.
Wokingham Borough Council is going to court tomorrow (Thursday) to get a possession order to move the 20 caravans from a field next to the A33 in Great Lea.
The group moved on to the land on Tuesday night last week , and police have been monitoring the camp ever since.
Karina Royles, 23, arrived with her family from Epsom and is staying in one of nine caravans in the first field. She said: "It is ridiculous if they tell us to leave already. We always keep ourselves to ourselves, we keep it tidy, always putting our rubbish in black bin bags and moving it. No-one should have any issues with us.
"We don't do any harm to anyone so I don't see why they can't just leave us alone, I get so sick of moving all the time for no reason."
In the next door caravan Tina Smith said: "The police were here last night and this morning so I imagine it won't be long before we have to leave again, we aren't doing anything wrong."
There were similar complaints from the owners of the 15 caravans in the adjoining field, where Cheryl Lewis, 23, added: "We just do what the men want us to do really, we could leave in 10 minutes or in three days, it's up to them."
A resident of Great Lea said: "I don't want them to come any further down here. It makes me worried that they are so close by, they always leave the area in such a mess."
A council spokeswoman said: "We're going to court tomorrow hoping to get a possession order, which if granted we would then seek to move them on. The court may give the Travellers a period of time to get their belongings together and prepare to move. But that is up to the court to determine."
