OBJECTORS to proposed Gypsy sites have until the end of July to have their say in Newport council's consultation.
The authority's revised local development plan consultation period is running now until July 26.
It includes three sites drawn up by a group of councillors as possible sites for Gypsies and Travellers.
During the period planning officers are making presentations to community councils and at ward meetings to explain the content of the plan.
A scrutiny committee drew up a list of proposed Gypsy sites following thousands of responses from residents.
Councillors proposed a site on Hartridge Farm Road as a residential site for three families, land on Celtic Way as a transit site for groups passing through, and former allotments at Ringland as a contingency.
An attempt to have the Hartridge Farm Road site removed from the LDP at a council meeting earlier this month failed.
Concerns have been expressed over accidents on nearby roads and the size of the site, which could hold a maximum of 129 caravans.
The revised LDP also takes on board new evidence on housing need, population growth and employment land.
People who have previously commented on the deposit LDP can indicate whether their previous comments still stand, have been addressed or make revised observations.
