Controversial Aberdeen Travellers’ site picked out of ‘desperation’ - Aberdeenshire

A DESPERATE search for suitable land for a Travellers site in Aberdeen led to a controversial location being picked, it was claimed today.


Council officers earmarked land at Scotstown Road in Bridge of Don for a permanent Travellers halting site.

But after turning their attention to different sites to the north and south of Aberdeen – it has emerged the Bridge of Don site was too small and had always been a safety risk.
