Plans by a group of Gypsies to turn a West Midlands builders yard into a temporary site have been rejected.
Their High Court appeal was rejected in April, as a judge ruled the development on greenbelt land in Meriden was illegal.
Last month the group submitted an application to Solihull Borough Council to create a site on Eaves Green Lane.
The local authority said there was insufficient evidence the change of use was lawful.
The families, currently living on Eaves Green Lane, reached an agreement with Solihull Borough Council that gave them until April 2013 to leave the land that they have been on since May 2010.
