Caravans at park - Bedfordshire

From the Luton and Dunstable Express

A group of Travellers removed bollards to settle at a field this week (pictured).

Around ten caravans were first seen on the green on Leamington Road, Luton, on Monday afternoon.

It is thought that a number of wooden bollards intended to prevent encampments on the grass had been removed so that the vehicles could enter.

A Luton Borough Council spokesman said: “The usual legal process has taken place and the Travellers have been evicted from the Bramingham site.

“The clean-up process has been carried out and the site has been made secure.”
