From the Coventry Telegraph
THERE will be a government planning inquiry after permission to turn farmland near Warwick into a Travellers’ site was turned down.
The applicant, Mr M Birmingham, wanted to create the Travellers’ site on former agricultural land and horse fields at Kites Nest Lane, Beausale.
The proposed site would have had eight pitches.
But the application was turned down by planners at Warwick District Council.
That decision has now been formally appealed.
It means the application will now be the subject of a public inquiry overseen by the government’s Planning Inspectorate.
A date for the hearing has not yet been set.
