Extra date to discuss Gypsy sites - Essex

From the Billericay Gazette

AFTER a small number of residents from Billericay and Wickford attended three drop-in sessions to discuss Gypsy, Traveller and Showpeople needs in February, a fourth has been organised for Thursday, March 14 at Noak Bridge Village Hall, Coppice Lane, Noak Bridge.

Representatives from independent consultants Opinion Research Services will be there from 2 until 8pm to talk to residents and gauge the issues they should consider, before they inform them of the emerging development plan for the borough.

Richard Moore, cabinet member for planning at Basildon Council, said: "I strongly urge anyone who lives in the borough, whether they live in Billericay, Wickford, Laindon, Basildon or Pitsea who is interested and wants to share their views on this matter to come along."
