From the Scunthorpe Telegraph
AROUND 40 caravans occupied by Travellers have left a Scunthorpe industrial estate a day earlier than expected.
The Travellers had been living off land on Clayfield Road, on the Foxhills Industrial Estate in Scunthorpe – in the car park of the former HES Group building. The Travellers are believed to have arrived last Saturday, (March 9).
One of the Travellers on the site, who did not wish to be named, previously said that they would be leaving on Sunday.
But after visiting the site, it quickly became clear that they had left the site earlier than expected.
No caravans or vehicles remained at the site, which has been left strewn with rubbish.
Black bin liners, empty cardboards boxes and food and drink containers are littered across the car park.
