TRAVELLERS have set up camp in a car park in Truro city centre.
Vans and caravans are understood to have arrived in the Moresk car park under the viaduct on Monday.
The Travellers are understood to be connected to the group that has set up camp in Newham.
Inspector Mark Richards, from Truro police, said: "Any decision as to whether they can stay there is entirely down to the landowner which, in this case, is Cornwall Council."
Cornwall Council said it was aware of the situation at Moresk and said it was legally required to carry out welfare assessments before taking any action.
A council spokesman said: "The group have been informed that they are trespassing and that they are required to purchase the necessary tickets for stationing their vehicles in the car park or face the usual sanctions.
