Caravans cleared from site - Luton

A clean-up operation has been completed after Travellers left a park they had been staying at illegally.

A group of around 20 caravans managed to gain access to the site on March 14, but left earlier this week.

A council spokesman said: “We started the standard legal procedure for eviction immediately after being informed of the encampment.

“The clean-up was completed within 24 hours of them leaving. We wont know the cost until this work is invoiced “This is usually within ten days of completion.”
