Sudbury: Travellers’ granted permission to remain after being given unanimous backing of council - Suffolk

From EADT24

A family of Travellers can live permanently at a site in Newton near Sudbury, councillors have decided.

At a Babergh District Counci planning meeting last week, an application to change the use of a paddock in Sackers Green to enable a mobile home to be pitched there on a permanent basis, was given unanimous backing.

The Street family has lived in a caravan close to the paddock in a neighbouring builder’s yard for the past seven years. As a planning condition, gates must be installed at the paddock entrance, and if the family moves away from the site, it will revert back to agricultural use.
