The Travellers were evicted from council-owned homes on Waterden Crescent in Hackney Wick after losing a High Court battle. Three indoor arenas will be built there for Olympic events.
Now they will be given six three-bedroom bungalows, each with a garden and a large drive, big enough for a caravan, in a £2million gated complex on Millfields Road, Clapton.
Building work started soon after the court case and is still ongoing - the development has angered locals.
The Gypsies future neighbours express fury with the perceived 'special treatment' while they pay their council tax.
A spokesman for the London Development Agency, who are responsible for the new site, said the Traveller families were among 450 residents who had to be relocated from the Olympic Park site. Each family will be charged £104.66 a week rent plus £91.23 a week to park a caravan on the drive.
Done if you do, done if you don't , bigots will scapegoat all and everyone that they feel are different - I'm so glad I'm different - I'm so glad I'm me - xx JanAnn
