From the Mercury
TRAVELLERS who set up camp in Hertford and ignored an eviction notice to leave the site have been ordered to go by the town’s county court.
The two caravans, which arrived at the East Herts Council-owned Marshgate Drive car park on Thursday February 20, were ordered to leave today (March 3) with immediate effect.
Lawyer Jack Parker, on behalf on the district council, made an application for the possession of the car park, which was granted straight away by Deputy District Judge Apple.
No-one was at court to represent the Travellers.
