Blocking Aberdeen site to Travellers could cost firm £8,000 - Aberdeenshire

From the Evening Express

A BUSINESS today hit out at the cost of having to secure an Aberdeen site from illicit Traveller camps.

Malcolm Allan Homes had previously placed concrete blocks at the entrance to its site behind Lidl and the Brig O’ Don bar in Seaton in a bid to keep it clear of unauthorised camps.

But last month the blocks were moved and 30 caravans pitched up on the vacant site. Now Bruce Allan, a director for the Inverurie-based firm, said it will be forced to take even more extreme measures to secure the site – at a cost of around £8,000.
