TRAVELLERS are set to be moved on from a site in Courthouse Green, north Coventry, today.
The group, made up of 11 caravans, moved on to the site of Coventry’s park and ride north in Courthouse Green nearly two weeks ago.
According to the city council, the vehicles moved onto the Austin Drive car park, between Sainsbury’s and the AT7 sports centre, between Friday, February 1 and Saturday 2.
A Telegraph reader who didn’t want to be named said: “The Travellers have taken over the car park.
“There used to be places for more than 80 cars but now there’s only space for 20 as they rest has been taken over by caravans.”
A member of the council’s environmental services team carried out an assessment when the Travellers first arrived at the site and a notice to evict the group was served by bailiffs on Tuesday.
