From Havant Borough Council
An encampment of Travellers is currently parked in a layby on the A259, Emsworth. There are 10 caravans and two vehicles on site at present.
Havant Borough Council, working on behalf of Hampshire County Council Highways has visited the site and have started the process of repossession through legal proceedings.
Until such time as the land can be reclaimed, Havant Borough Council will continue to work closely with Hampshire Constabulary to ensure that the proper procedures within the law are followed.
